10th Montreal International 2009

The 10th annual Montreal International tournament was held August 27 - September 7. The event was a 12 player round-robin, and included three Canadians. It was won by GM Arkadij Naiditsch of Germany with 7.5/11. The top Canadian was GM Anton Kovalyov of Verdun, Quebec, (representing Argentina) with 6/11. Other Canadians were GM Mark Bluvshtein, of Toronto, Ontario, 5.5; and IM Thomas Roussel-Roozmon, of Laval, Quebec, 3.5.
